The Quality Engineer will work to improve processes through statistical and data analysis and support Engineering and Operations to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system. The applicant shall be able to effectively communicate program status and compliance to both internal and external customers. Interface with customer quality representatives for communicating root cause, corrective actions and requirement compliance.
Support effective quality plans and process improvement projects.
Consistently achieve performance goals established by management team
Internal and supplier quality monitoring
Champions resolution of quality issues in new product and serial production activities. Identifies, prioritizes, charts occurrences / trends, implements and manages corrective action plans, reports on corrective actions / problem resolution.
Assess new and current quality systems - audits. Drive audit action plans to closure. Develop and mentor problem resolution, controls plans and APQP methodology.
In process inspections
Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
Associate’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or a combination of education and manufacturing experience.
5+ years experience in Quality or Auditing
Working knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, ISO9001:2015 standards, SPC, PPAP, and Gauge R&R
