Our client in Sacramento is looking for a Member Services Rep experienced in customer service in the health insurance industry.  MUST possess a Life & Health Agent’s license! Please note that this is a temporary position expected to start August and run through February, depending on department needs.

Primary Job Functions:

  • Answer telephone inquiries regarding health care coverage’s premiums, eligibility, rates, account status, claims, billing, address changes, benefit verification and supply requests.
  • Investigate and resolve customer problems and disputes in a timely manner
  • Document phone calls using online systems
  • Process paperwork for our client.
  • Maintain knowledge of health care sponsored plans and keep abreast of carrier changes and marketing campaigns.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required, with additional Insurance courses preferred.
  • A minimum of two years customer service experience in the health insurance industry, call center environment preferred.
  • Active Life & Health Agent’s license required.
  • Certifications in ACA and/or Medicare preferred.
  • Call Center experience, with data entry required.
