The Senior Human Resources Generalist at our Franklin Electric Global Headquarters is responsible for implementing human resources practices including Franklin Electric talent strategies, training programs, systems administration and policies. This dynamic role will have ownership for key elements of the employment and pre-employment experience for the corporate staff as well as project management responsibility for the Franklin Electric Learning Management System (LMS), the corporate internship program, and leading all HR business partnership opportunities for our new Franklin Water Treatment (FWT) business unit.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead salary interview and selection process for professional positions in the Fort Wayne Global Headquarters including partnering with functional leaders on sourcing/selection criteria, implementing structured interview tools, and leading candidate selection discussions.
  • Manages the Franklin Electric Learning Management System including developing/ deploying training materials, monitoring employee engagement, and partnering with global business partners to solve professional development opportunities.
  • Leads all Human Resource business partnership activities for the FWT business unit.
  • Develops and facilitates summer internship development program including sourcing and employee relations for the corporate internship program, developing position specifications, sourcing qualified candidates, interviewing/selecting students and on-boarding new hires
  • Manages and supports selected corporate employee programs such as wellness and engagement as well as the corporate HQ employee events calendar.
  • Supports human resources information system (HRIS) data entry and integrity initiatives including training/audit tools for our global business partners.
  • Implements and interprets policies and procedures as defined in the personnel policies
  • Drafts company and human resource
  • Participate and lead other Corporate Human Resources Generalist projects as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong relationship-building skills in connecting with candidates and internal business partners.
  • Effective communication and consistent follow-up both in person and electronically with candidates, vendors, recruiting sources, and internal business partners.
  • Understands relevant laws affecting human resources and payroll, including but not limited to safety, medical and military leave, payroll, HIPAA, payroll,
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), workers' compensation laws, insurance, and benefits laws, and other state or federal
  • Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion with business and personal information.
  • Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail.
  • Utilizes common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
  • Deals with problems involving several known variables in situations of routine and nonroutine nature.
  • Plans the time, method, manner, and/or performance sequence of own work; may also occasionally assist in planning work assignments performed by others within a limited area of operation.
  • Frequently makes decisions of both minor and major importance, which may affect the work operations of other employees and/or clientele to a moderate degree.
  • Accurately and efficiently completes moderately repetitive tasks.
  • Manages the Franklin Electric Learning Management System
  • Leads all Human Resource business partnership activities for the FWT business unit
  • Responsible for the development of training programs and employee engagement
  • Assist in recruiting duties such as screening, interviewing, and selecting professional positions in Fort Wayne Global Headquarters
  • Facilitates and leads the Summer Internship Program
  • Manages and supports wellness and engagement programs for employees
  • Responsible for HRIS data entry assistance and initiatives
