Summary and Duties

Job Summary

Performs a variety of human resource functions with a strong focus on training and development; in addition performs duties in areas including but not limited to performance management, employee relations, employee onboarding and human resource information systems. 

 

Essential Job Duties

1.  Develops online and classroom training programs to meet organizational objectives in accordance with organizational needs and accreditation standards.

2.  Provides support to HR staff in the development and implementation of online and classroom training programs.

3.  Supports and maintains learning management system for human resources and organizational training programs; analyzes data and provides feedback to leadership.

4.  Provides guidance to management and employees on organizational policies, procedures and practices; ensures compliance with employment laws, regulations and guidelines.

5.  Provides CPR/First Aid training to staff.

6.  Provides guidance to managers on performance management timelines and content; reviews performance evaluations.

7.  Provides backup and support for processing workers’ compensation and unemployment claims.

8.  Responds to employee relations issues such as resolution of employee complaints; conducts investigations on employment related issues.

9.  Serves as backup to the HR Coordinator on employee job offer and background check process, and provides support in administering the Human Resource Information System.

10.  Partners with management and employees to improve working relationships, build morale, increase productivity and employee engagement.

11.  Coordinates and/or assists with other HR initiatives in other areas of the department.

12.  Assists with and supports agency accreditation.

13.  Maintains the HR intranet site.

14.  Develops, revises and implementation of policies and procedures.

15.  Complies with and champions the LLGI safety program.

16.  Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

 

Education, Experience and Credentials

Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or a related field.

Requires three years experience in human resources, including experience with classroom presentations and learning management systems.

Requires certification as a CPR/First Aid trainer or ability to obtain within three months of employment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Requires knowledge of and ability to develop employee training programs using online learning management systems, classroom presentations and other methods.

Requires excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to make presentations before groups.

Requires knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as online training platforms.

Requires working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines, federal and state employment laws.

Requires strong planning and organizational skills.

Requires ability to gain knowledge of organizational polices, regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.

Requires ability to work independently while fostering a strong team atmosphere.

Requires valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and proof of insurance.

Requires ability to be consistently at work and on time on scheduled work days.

Requires ability to interact with people in a manner which enhances their dignity, privacy and confidentiality.

Requires ability to work independently while fostering a strong team atmosphere.

Requires ability to follow LLGI policies and procedures.

Requires ability to maintain confidentiality of information related to LLGI operations.

Requires ability to demonstrate professionalism.
