The Market Supply Planner serves as the single point of contact for North America supply and service related topics for their assigned brands. They must have strong collaboration with internal partners to drive improvement and tactical action plans with service, cost, and cash balance. They are strong leaders in regular market facing supply and service analysis including top projected missed dollars/quantities, action plans, and historical gap to targets. They must be a strong leader with system and data driven methodology.

 

THE ROLE

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Serves as the single point of contact for North America supply status and updates on assigned brands.
  • Organizes and leads tactical weekly meeting with DRP and Local Demand Planners to discuss key out of stock situation and tactical action plans.
  • Participates in global initiative meetings to ensure North America requirements are met.
  • Provides market feedback to DRP, factories (key dates, quantities, air freight alignment) by providing market priorities and missed sales projections and thus focusing the work on what matters.
  • Prepares, publishes and leads market facing supply and service reviews for historical cuts and top projected risk.
  • Owns BIS date, root cause, and comments for historical and projected risk items.
  • Ensures item substitutions are correctly set up in relevant systems (JDA/SAP).
  • Participates in North America VAR process and action plans.
  • Prepares S&OP supply, inventory, and VAR decks.
  • Drives action plans for improvement for key metrics.
  • Identifies and drives opportunities for end-to-end supply network improvement.
  • Participates in proactive critical receipt process with Distribution Centers to ensure hot items are given priority for booking of stock.
  • Drives alignment of safety/cycle stock parameters, minimum order quantities, and other system parameters to improve the inventory coverage within the region while maintaining a balance of service, cost, and cash.
  • Ensures tools continue to be up-to-date and sustainable.
  • Ensures processes answer a defined need and remain efficient and formalized.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

We’d love to see candidates who have:

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Supply Chain / Engineering degree or equivalent supply chain planning experience (3+ years)
  • CPIM certification or Industrial engineering degree a plus

 

Special Skills Required:

Knowledge:

  • Advanced MS Excel knowledge
  • Experience with planning principles including:
  • MRP, MPS, DRP (preferred)
  • Inventory Theory and Parameters
  • Demand Planning is a plus
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability
  • Comfortable learning new technology quickly
