Paralegal
A prominent law firm in the Chicago loop is seeking a dynamic, detailed, and professional Paralegal to add to their team. The Paralegal will work within the Intake Department and be responsible for fielding a high volume of calls, managing client communication, and conducting client consultations with professionalism and discretion. Ideal candidates will have civil litigation and medical malpractice experience. The salary range for this role is $38-43k, commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities of the Paralegal:
Field a high volume of client calls and answer inquiries effectively and efficiently
Interface and communicate with clients on a daily basis, ensuring seamless communication
Provide initial consultations in a pleasant and caring manner
Gather patient records and medical history information
Manage and maintain records, files, and online databases
Provide administrative assistance to the attorneys when necessary
All other tasks and projects as needed
Requirements of the Paralegal:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Civil litigation experience required
Medical malpractice experience highly preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Superior communication skills, both verbal and written
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Pleasant and mature demeanor
Strong ability to balance competing priorities and multitask in a fast paced environment
