Job Requirements

PURPOSE OF JOB:  The Teller is responsible for handling member’s transaction request and inquires, as well as cross sell products and services for the benefit of the member and the credit union. In this position, it is expected that limited independent judgment/ decision making will be utilized while under direct supervision from the Branch Manager.

 

 Must have a combination of education and/or experience necessary for the position

  • Must have an aptitude for meeting people, developing member confidence, and trust in our credit union
  • Must be able to demonstrate enthusiasm, patience, professionalism, confidentiality, and maturity
  • Must be able to converse with members to process multiple requests
  • Must be able to handle large amounts of cash with speed and accuracy
  • Must be able to present services in a knowledgeable manner, as this is a frontline position
  • Must have a neat and professional appearance

Credit Union achieving and maintaining the minimum monthly referral goals.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of work tools and systems

MAJOR POSITION FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform within company standards, including, but not limited to:

             Balancing Performance

             Transaction Volume

             Member survey results

  • Maintain a positive, professional attitude and a pleasant tone while dealing with members and co-workers
  • Take ownership of member’s requests and questions, follow up for resolution as a training opportunity
  • Maintain control of member transactions to ensure the transaction is completed accurately and efficiently and positively impact queue wait times
  • Review staff intranet for updated policy and procedure, rates, forms, and communications
  • Remain current on policies, procedures, systems, and services that are offered to provide efficient member service 
  • Operate under and enforce credit union policies and guidelines
  • Up-sell credit union services and products to strengthen member relations with Summit Credit Union achieving and maintaining the minimum monthly referral goals.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of work tools and systems

                                             Good credit required and no criminal history.

PT Tellers–   8210 W. Market Street and 800 Summit Avenue Greensboro, NC.  We are looking for  service oriented professionals who are outgoing and friendly to assist members with financial transactions and inquiries, as well as promote the many products and services for the benefit of the member. Ideal candidates should exhibit strong customer service skills, be detail oriented, have proven computer skills and be able to work in a fast paced environment. Teller / cash handling experience a plus


This person will work M-F ANY TIME Between 7:15 AM and 6:00PM.
