GENERAL SUMMARY:

-Provides care for patients and family/ significant others across the life span based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria appropriate to the age of patients served in assigned service area.
SKILLS OR SPECIALIZATION REQUIRED:
A. Education and Licensing: Graduate in good standing of an accredited school of nursing.
B. License: Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Illinois.
C. Work Experience: Prior experience within the hospital or home health environment in the previous 1-2 years. Some areas of placement may require additional experience.
D. Job Knowledge: Knowledge of the nursing process thereby enabling him/her to provide care in conjunction with a Registered Nurse. Must possess current comprehensive cognitive knowledge and technical skills in nursing and health care. Must understand and practice patient confidentiality; displays problem identification and conflict resolution.
E. Skills and abilities:
- Active American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS for all positions.
- Certification in ACLS **for inpatient positions**
- Valid drivers license and active vehicle insurances **for home health positions**
