Accounting Manager for Atlanta-area nonprofit

Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with a mission-driven nonprofit organization to identify an Accounting to join their team in Midtown. This position reports directly to the Assistant Controller.

The Accounting Manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with GAAP
· Prepare financial statements for internal and external users
· Review and post monthly journal entries
· Review monthly account reconciliations, general ledger, and financial reports
· Maintain internal controls
· Maintain asset inventory and depreciation schedules
· Assist with annual budget and quarterly forecast processes
· Perform cash management duties
· Manage financial activities for grant applications and payments
· Provide professional development and supervision for department staff
· Ad hoc requests as requested
The Accounting Manager’s Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
· 7+ years’ related experience
· Strong Excel skills a must, experience with Abila MIP a plus
· Excellent communication skills with ability to succeed in fast-paced environment
