Manufacturing Support Technician

Location:- Mountain View, CA

Duration:- 12 Months

Note:- Must be able to operate Forklift

Job Description:-

Primary function is to support manufacturing operations by maintaining shop supplies, perform daily equipment check outs, operate forklift, and assist assembly technicians as needed. To be successful at the primary job function the employee will need to carefully follow work instructions, accurately maintain daily logs, be responsive to unexpected changes, and have mechanical aptitude

Responsibilities of Manufacturing Support Technician

·         Maintain supply of materials for the manufacturing team

·         Interface with support teams to order supplies and dispose of waste materials

·         Move spacecraft hardware, equipment, and supplies

·         Perform daily checkouts of manufacturing equipment

·         Maintain equipment logs

·         Operate forklift, crane, and man-lift

·         Report supply and equipment deficiencies to manager

·         Keep work spaces neat and organized

·         Keep training and certifications up to date

·         Occasionally assist manufacturing teams in the production of spacecraft hardware

Requirements of Manufacturing Support Technician

·         Good driving record

·         High school education and 2-4 years of work experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment

·         Previous experience safely operating a forklift, man-lift, and/or crane

·         Proficient using mechanical tools – drills, hand tools, and basic measuring equipment

·         Proficient using Microsoft office applications

·         Proficient using desktop computers

·         Work overtime, weekends, and support occasional shift changes to support production goals

·         Advanced mechanical skills for drilling, cutting, and shaping metals and composites
