Samuels and Son Seafood Company one of the Nation’s largest distributors of fresh and frozen seafood is searching for an experienced HR Professional to work night shift..  You must be highly organized, can multi-task at any time, enjoys a challenge and likes a variety of responsibility. 


Maintains and enhances the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Post help wanted ads; review resumes and applications in search of candidates that meet required qualifications to work in our warehouse environment.    Assist in scheduling and interviewing potential candidates.

  • Inform job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, or promotion opportunities.

  • Process hiring/terminated related paperwork and maintain HRIS systems.

  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.

  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations and laws including EEO, AA , ADA, etc.   

  • Advise managers on organizational policy matters; interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.

  • Maintain employee files and records; maintain strict confidentiality. 

  • Perform benefits administration to include enrollment, termination, and employee communications.

  • Administer FMLA, LOA, claims timely. 

  • All other duties as assigned by management.



Minimum Job Requirements:


  • Four years of Human Resource experience working in a warehouse/distribution environment.

  • Excels in a fast paced environment.

  • Detail oriented.

  • Computer Skills:  MS Office including Word, Excel, ADP Workforce Now database/HRIS system.

  • Maintains Confidentiality.

  • 4 year degree preferred

  • This is a night shift position beginning at 10 pm Sunday thru Thursday evenings.
