Sales Representative

Leggett & Platt, Inc., an S&P 500 company, is seeking a Sales Representative in our Bedding division.  The position will be responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships, pursuing new customer relationships, and driving sales of bedding related components.   The territory includes Washington, Oregon, Northern California, Northern Nevada, and Southern British Columbia.  Applicants will need to reside within 50-mile radius of Tacoma, WA.  Approximately 30% overnight travel required. 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop long-term relationships with existing and potential customers and deliver superior customer service
  • Increase revenue by cultivating relationships with customers and driving sales goals
  • Manage territory accounts (sales calls, new product introductions and monitoring product quality)
  • Collaboration with management on sales strategies and pricing proposals

Desired Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-oriented discipline
  • 1-2 years of experience in Sales, with knowledge of the Bedding Industry considered as an added advantage

·         An understanding of manufacturing processes and customer/supplier relationship principles
