Job Requirements


  • Assists with recruiting and selection efforts,  performs background verifications, facilitates the onboarding of qualified job applicants for open positions; completes all related new hire documents, benefits, I-9, and all acknowledgement of all company policies through use of the HRIS 
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and certifications.
  • Manages the DOT compliance program including legally mandated background screening, ensures timely license and medical card updates, random drug screening programs, etc.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Develops required documentation and ensure timely and accurate employee records are properly maintained in the HRIS in compliance with policies and state and federal regulations.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Director of Human Resources.
  • Handles worker’s compensation reporting and follow up.
  • Participates in safety team and performs safety audits at facilities in conjunction with the  Safety Manager.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Stays up-to-date on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

The Human Resources Associate will handle the daily operations of the Human Resource (HR) department at multiple locations including staff recruiting, onboarding, ensuring accurate and timely records in the HRIS,  administering benefits, and leave, enforcing company policies and practices, assisting with learning and development programs to advance the organization. This person will work closely with corporate payroll department, and other HR leaders to ensure timely and  accurate compliance with government regulations such as OFCCP, DOT, OSHA, EEOC, etc.
