SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for data analytics. This position will be a key player in developing next level analytics and financial modeling. This role will report directly to the VP of Financial Planning and Analysis and is based out of headquarters in Foothill Ranch, CA

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

·        Decision support and sensitivity analysis

·        Historical trend analysis of key financial metrics

·        Reporting and analysis to identify major drivers of performance

·        Return on investment analysis on capital spending projects

·        Design and development of financial models and reports

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

·        Outstanding analytical capabilities

·        Ability to apply strategic thinking to tactical activities.  Must be willing to undertake deep data dives, but still see big picture

·        Excellent financial modeling skills, including integrated 3-statement models

·        Strong business partner to Sales and Operations Management

·        Strong understanding of standard cost accounting background in a manufacturing environment, including throughput, activity-based costing

·        Demonstrate professionalism and strong team skills

·        Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.  Self-starter

·        Proactive and well organized

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, MBA a plus

3-5 years of financial experience

Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

Highly adept skillset with financial systems [Examples] Hyperion Essbase, Oracle, GL Wand, Cognos

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

 

Must possess excellent written & verbal communication skills.  Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, from technicians to senior management

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

MBA, CPA or CMA helpful, but not required

OTHER REQUIREMENTS 

Willing to travel domestically as needed 10-20%.
