Rehab Department Assistant


Shriners Hospitals for Children Northern California, the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury and pediatric subspecialties medical center, has an opportunity for a Department Assistant to join our Rehab Services team.


This part time position provides key support to the Rehab Service departments. Primary responsibilities include patient scheduling, answering phones and placing phone calls, maintaining files and record keeping systems; supply management; daily charge reconciliation reports and weekly documentation audits.


Secondary responsibilities include a variety of secretarial, receptionist and clerical functions in support of the Orthotics & Prosthetics and T herapeutic Recreation/Child Life Departments.

Must have the skill to analyze data, problem solve and communicate effectively and tactfully in both written and oral forms.  Requires excellent computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Previous secretarial and multi-phone line experience required.  Spanish language skills preferred.
