Job purpose

The Controller will be primarily responsible for managing corporate liquidity, the accounting division to ensure accurate and timely financials, and to maximize the return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.

Duties and responsibilities

•  Support accounting management and always take ownership of work in month-end close, reporting, work with external CPA and year end workpaper preparation, detail review of general ledger, etc.
• Assist in management of Payroll processing.
• Hands-on professional with ability to also support, develop and motivate the Accounting Team and identify process efficiencies.
• Track capital raises, and investor returns monthly for the various portfolio funds.
• Oversee the construction draw process and preparing loan draw packages, including all supporting documentation, in conjunction with the accounting department.
• Preparation of lender and investor financial reporting and covenant testing.
• Oversight of the accounting department to ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial statements.
• Review and completion of parent level consolidations monthly.
• Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
• Assist in the preparation of property budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.
• We are working directly with the executive team to meet strategic goals.
• Any other requirements or tasks that may be asked by the executive team to support company growth.
