Charles E. Smith Life Communities (CESLC) is one of the largest and most highly regarded nonprofit elder care organizations in the nation. Originally founded in 1910 as the Hebrew Home for the Aged, CESLC now serves 1,100 older adults daily in multiple residences situated on its beautiful 38-acre campus in Rockville, Maryland. 


We are searching for a talented HRIS Analyst to facilitate and support key processes and accountabilities within the organization by managing and maintaining the HRIS, creating and analyzing data reports, training staff on the system, providing customer service and troubleshooting problems.  The position will be required to work with staff, the HRIS vendor and other HR technology vendors in managing, integrating and maximizing HRIS functionality and interfacing technology.  Would you like to join an organization that improves the lives of over 1100 adults every day?

Key Responsibilities: 

·        Collaborate with stakeholders to develop, review, test and implement HRIS upgrades and patches including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes; and to maximize HRIS functionality

·        Ensure the HRIS and related systems are properly working after upgrades, pay policy changes, maintenance, etc.

·        Responsible for interfacing with the HRIS vendor (Ceridian Dayforce HCM Software) to troubleshoot, escalate as needed, and resolve system problems. Assist end users with issues.

·        Maintain knowledge of current trends in HRIS and other HR technology to enhance and improve efficiency in HR operations and service to employees.

·        Collaborate with HR and Stakeholders to define business requirements and build appropriate reporting and metrics. Work closely with internal customers, technical staff, and others to ensure the solution deliverables satisfy business requirements.

·        Review and audit quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, propose solutions and take action to ensure integrity in system data and processes.

·        Develop, test, and monitor dashboards, and metrics.

·        Generate reports for internal use as well as for external sources including annual EEO.

·        Prepare, review and submit quarterly Payroll Based Journals filing with CMS ensuring timeliness, completeness and accuracy of data submission.

·        Monthly review, tracking, reporting and follow-up through completion on I-9 status ensuring compliance with related regulations.

Job Requirements:

·        5 years minimum of HRIS experience with complex systems in complex organizations.

·        Demonstrated ability to perform analysis and translate business needs and to create solution requirements documentation.

·        Demonstrated critical thinking, ability to analyze large amounts of data, to translate data, draw conclusions and make recommendations to management.

·        Demonstrated attention to detail and precision with data.

·        Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate complex data into clear written and verbal reports.

 

Preferences:

·        Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business or IT or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

·        SHRM-CP or PHR

·        Previous success with HRIS/Payroll implementation.
