A local medical clinic has opportunities available for individuals to assist in the process of collecting specimens for COVID-19 outdoor testing.  Work hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.


Job Responsibilities:

·       Track inventory of testing kits to ensure adequate supply for testing

·       Review testing schedule to ensure orders are in place and correct for scheduled patients

·       On the morning of testing, print out laboratory orders, and paperwork for schedule patients and prepare test kits

·       Intake patients for outdoor testing, identify patient by name and date of birth, obtain patient temperature, and hand out COVID educational material

·       Assist in collecting the specimen

·       Follow all requirements related to PPE, hand hygiene, cleaning of work station, and physical distancing practices

·       Provide patients with a face covering if needed

·       Approach patients using sensitive and aware practices, follow physical distancing, use of face covering, and hand hygiene

·       Maintain accurate records and comply with HIPAA guidelines

·       Maintain infection control standards at all times and adhere to heat and cold weather safety precautions

·       Raise concerns promptly and in a professional manner to security and center leadership and assist to resolve any conflicts

·       Actively participate in quality assurance and improvement activities

·       Perform other duties as assigned


·       Graduate of an approved school of Medical Assistants or other health related field is preferred

·       Must have excellent customer service and communication skills

·       Process information efficiently and consistently and report discrepancies and concerns

·       Must be able to stand for long periods of time and primarily be outdoors

·       Must be comfortable wearing gloves, mask, and face shield

·       Bilingual speaking candidates is a plus
