Job Description

Branch Manager - Healthcare

Direct and coordinate operating, staffing and financial activities of the office. Overall responsibilities include managing the operational activities of office/region including: customer service, employee staffing and compensation, scheduling, payroll, recruiting and sales. Salary for this job ranges between $50 - $75 annually, depending on experience.



  • Review, manage and process weekly payroll and invoicing and vendor payments as necessary
  • Monitor personnel compliance to ensure credentials are current       
  • Interviewing and screening of applicants
  • Ensure after-hours calls handled by members of staff, insurance needs and tax credit management
  • Arbitrate employment issues impacting field staff and clients    
  • Analyze financial data and market conditions
  • Analyze operational or management reports or records
  • Conduct or attend staff meetings   
  • Assign work to staff or employees
  • Compile data for financial reports
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Windows, Outlook and report writing.      
  • Oversee execution of organizational or program policies        
  • Prepare reports for management
  • Evaluates effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures
  • Establishes credit limitations on customer accounts
  • Prepares operational and risk reports for management analysis
  • Reviews collection reports to ascertain status of collections and balances outstanding.     
  • Directs insurance negotiations, selects insurance brokers and carriers, and places insurance
  • Back-up to on-call phone 24/7
  • Supervision of office staff including staffing coordinator, marketing director, and service coordinator.

Job Requirements

Branch Manager - Healthcare


  • 2+ years of direct employee supervision, including performance management and coaching.
  • 5+ years office management experience in a service company.
  • 2-3 years knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • College degree or equivalent work experience.


  • Prior work experience in home healthcare or assisted living.
  • Knowledge of the analysis and reporting of financial data.
  • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process.
  • CNA or medical background.
