We are an established staffing agency seeking a hands on Sr. Staffing Specialist/ Human Resource Manager / Recruiting Manager for our Prospect Heights, IL location.

MUST BE HANDS ON WITH HEAVY CANDIDATE SOURCING AND RECRUITMENT EXPERIENCE. We are not looking for someone who has primarily lead recruitment teams or comes from a global recruitment environment with little direct recruitment involvement.

We need someone very experienced with conducting interviews, and matching candidates with high skilled jobs with urgent deadlines. Must be VERY CREATIVE with sourcing candidates in more ways than simply running ads.

Primary duties involve heavy candidate recruitment and interviewing/ screening candidates for direct hire AND contract jobs.

Duties also include overseeing some human resources related activities such as assigning job requisitions, employee disciplinary, explaining benefits, assisting with worker's compensation issues and unemployment claims, conducting new hire orientation, verifying payroll accuracy, supervising and training Jr. Recruiters, creating recruitment processes and procedures, contacting clients for open job orders, etc.

Duties also include managing and overseeing our recruiting team, developing recruiting strategies for open job orders, managing all recruitment efforts, interviewing and selecting candidates for job orders, reviewing our application process, extending job offers for direct hires and contractors, implementing and overseeing HR policies and procedures, handling all internal and external employee disciplinary actions (including hiring/ termination of employment), conducting employee reviews, creating and conducting in-house recruitment training sessions, etc.

Must be extremely organized with EXCELLENT time management skills and a proven ability to multitask several projects.

Experience from the Staffing/Recruitment industry is a huge plus

5-7 years of direct recruiting experience and staff management experience

Must understand state and federal employment laws and regulations

Experience managing workers compensation claims/ unemployment claims, etc.

Excellent MS Office skills

Knowledge of payroll administration and benefit administration is preferred

BS/BA in a related field is preferred

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
