 World-Class manufacturer of industrial grade products has an immediate need for an Sr Manufacturing Project Engineer to join their organization. Opportunity to work cross-functional with multiple different areas of the plant.


This position works supporting production, helps the Plant Manager on CAPEX goals, maintenance, and tooling activities which cover development and implementation of manufacturing processes to maintain product functionality, quality and cost efficiency. This position ensures the various engineering activities (manufacturing, process and industrial engineering) and production departments work together cohesively by providing good process control, product design, product life-cycle management, material workflow, people utilization, scheduling and capacity planning.

Manufacturing functions including production (machining and assembly), quality, maintenance, manufacturing engineering and continuous improvement to achieve operational performance goals and support overall business objectives.


Support day-to-day activities of production / manufacturing / machine shop.

Lead and coordinate manufacturing activities required to meet or exceed our commitments to customers.

Work with Product and Project Managers to ensure that design changes are correct, authorized and vetted versions of designs are implemented into production

Initiate and direct projects focused on improving processes and eliminating waste.

Develop and prepare complete manufacturing processes and routes for tight tolerance complex parts to meet/exceed the organizational goals of scrap and lead time

Evaluates complex manufacturing processes by conducting process analysis, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials, conferring with suppliers, and soliciting observations from operator’s/production technicians

Continuous improvement efforts to drive waste reduction and improve operational performance.

Establish operating plans, resource plans and budgets to support annual business plans and sales goals.

Support long-term capital investment plans required to support overall business objectives.

Create and submit requests for capital appropriations and execute projects ensuring intended results are achieved.

Manage and maintain plant machinery, tooling, equipment, and facilities.

Trouble shoot machinery and help with preventative maintenance.


Requires a minimum of 10+ plus years’ experience in a manufacturing position

Experience in a metals manufacturing environment

Four-year engineering degree required

Experienced in lean manufacturing and producing measurable savings in manufacturing

Record of accomplishment of establishing processes for different departments

Hands-on engineer who has supported manufacturing, assembly, and machining

Engineering change orders

Problem solving abilities and leadership skills required

Exposure to solid modeling software; reviews and revisions
