Qualified candidates must have the following credentials:

  • Current State License Practical Nursing License
  • Current CPR (cannot be online course)
  • Physical within 1 year (must include state "free of communicable diseases")
  • Current TB Skin Test (within 12 months), Chest X-ray (must be within 5 years), QuantiFERON (within 12 months)
  • Two Character reference (must be co-workers, not supervisors)
  • Current Alzheimer's Training (must be 2 hours)
  • HIV/AIDS CEU (Required only if you have held your nursing license for 2 years or longer)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receives reports on assigned clients.
  • Gives the oncoming Charge Nurse a complete client report
  • Frequently checks well being of assigned clients.
  • Assists with client admissions and discharges.
  • Notifies Charge Nurse or supervisor of changes in client's condition or of any unusual symptoms.
  • Understand and uses aseptic techniques when appropriate.
  • Prepares equipment and materials for treatments observing aseptic techniques when required.
  • Complies with the agency's or institution's guidelines and insures that the agency's, institution's, and client's equipment and supplies are safeguarded.
  • Records all pertinent information on the client's clinical record and informs Nurses and More' Clinical Director of any changes in the client's condition.
  • Updates knowledge and skills by attending in service programs, continuing education programs, etc. and informs Nurses and More of newly acquired skills.
  • Ensures client rights and confidentiality.
  • Lifting unspecified weights, depending on assignment requirements.
  • Bending and stooping to prepare equipment, materials or objects for treating clients or managing client care or the client environment.
  • Transferring, turning and positioning clients and assisting clients to walk and move from place to place.
