Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or Business Management. 
  • Minimum of 5-7 years Plant/Production management experience in a fast pace 24/7 environment
  • Experience with virgin or reprocessed flexible PVC, PE, PP, TPE materials in extrusion (profile, sheet).
  • Demonstrated capability to manage multiple high priority projects involving cross-functional resources. 
  • Strong financial analysis and budgeting acumen.
  • Experience in plastics extrusion, polyethylene, polypropylene, thermoplastics, polyolefins or resins are preferred.


Required Technical Competencies:

  • Demonstrated success in implementing LEAN Manufacturing or similar contemporary principles and practices.
  • Strong problem analysis skills and contingency planning – ability to dissect complex problems into manageable components.
  • Expert knowledge of core business management systems in Safety, Quality, Maintenance, Manufacturing & Budgeting. 
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills


Desired Secondary Technical Competencies:

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize objectives. 
  • Ability to multi-task and keep multiple projects and objectives moving forward. 
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite

Growing company in the plastics industry has an excellent opportunity available for a Plant Manager. 

The Plant Manager is responsible for the daily management and safe coordination of all plant Manufacturing & Warehousing operations.  This hands-on position will be accountable for all aspects of plant performance and will ensure the KPI’s are attained in a safe, cost effective manner. The Plant Manager will provide direction to several direct and indirect reports, monitoring performance to ensure that departmental and individual objectives are achieved within scheduled timelines and budgets.  He or she will be tasked with establishing a safe, OSHA compliant workplace, and enforcing compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Examples of Key Activities:

  • Co-develop with the Safety Manager programs to systematically drive the organization to world class safety performance. 
  • Plan, organize and direct multisite 24x5 and 24x7 manufacturing and warehousing operations.
  • Build a trusting relationship with Human Resources to recruit, manage and develop plant production staff of approximately 150.
  • Continuously increase production, line capacity and flexibility while minimizing costs and maintaining quality standards
  • Develop systems and processes that track and optimize performance.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Operations Team and Production Supervisors
