Provision of professional nursing services in compliance with the state Registered Nurse Practice Act, any applicable licensure/certification requirement, applicable healthcare standards, governmental laws and regulations, and Able Health Care Service policies, procedures, and philosophy of care.
The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible to proactively apply the nursing process to meet the needs of the patient/client and facilitate the achievement of individual, defined and measurable outcomes.
This position reports to and is supported by a Director of Nursing.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The Registered Nurse is responsible to apply professional knowledge and skills, in accordance with accepted standards of clinical practice, to facilitate problem resolution, and thereby, achievement of individual patient/client goals and outcomes. The Registered Nurse participates in the provision of ongoing assessments, problem identification and specific therapeutic interventions, teaching and training activities.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Basic knowledge of governmental Home Health Agency regulations, Medicare/Medicaid (as required) regulations, and Company policies are required. Good organization, communication, human relation skills, and reliable transportation are required. Candidate must be self-directing with independent decision-making skills. Education and Experience Requirements.
- The candidate for this position must be a Registered Nurse who is licensed and currently registered in New York State
- The candidate will also have the following qualifications: a baccalaureate degree in nursing from an approved program or may have a baccalaureate degree in health or human services field or with two years home care experience
