The Manager Retail Accounting & Reporting position manages the analysis and reporting for Retail, including preparation and presentation of monthly reporting packages and ad hoc analyses that support key business initiatives. This position also manages the accounting monthly close processes for Retail segment contribution margin and bad debt expense.
Manages the internal financial reporting of the Retail segment and ensures that it is complete, timely, accurate, and in compliance with US GAAP and other reporting requirements. Includes reporting and analysis of contribution margin results at a portfolio level, with focus on business drivers of variance to plan, projection and prior year and presentation of results to senior leadership.
Participates in complex analytical projects with collaboration across multiple organizations including Planning, Residential and Business Markets, Marketing, etc.
Selects, develops, evaluates and motivates a highly skilled and technical staff to ensure leadership continuity, technical excellence, and high productivity.
Works closely with Planning team to supply information for monthly financial projections.
Ensures that adequate process controls are in place and routinely monitored to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Drives continuous improvement and standardization across all Retail brands.
Supports the Controller's organization in achieving high individual and team performance standards.
Mentors and supports the development of future leaders in the accounting and finance areas.

Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:
Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications in accounting/finance/business. High School diploma/GED required
Minimum of 6-8 years of progressive accounting or reporting experience in the energy industry.
Demonstrates a clear and significant understanding of the ISO electricity environment
Strong leadership, business, financial, problem solving and communication skills.
Knowledge of business process design and controls
Demonstrated ability to identify problems and issues, integrate data from a variety of sources, draw valid conclusions, and develop solid plans of action.
Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint application skills
