Currently we are in search of an exemplary professional to fill the role of Purchasing Manager to support multiple properties in Flourtown, PA.


 


The primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


 


  • Develop/maintain relationships between suppliers/vendors and Company

  • Negotiate purchasing contracts for the welfare and benefit of the Company

  • Evaluate and monitor vendor contracts, ensuring that the vendor and their supplies comply with the terms and conditions of those contracts

  • Analyze pricing proposals, financial reports and other information to determine reasonable pricing

  • Maintain and review records of items bough, costs, deliveries, product performance and inventories

  • Meet with vendor and community staffs to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and/or substitute items for inventory

  • Correct mistakes or unclear orders and recommend comparable alternatives when products are out of stock

  • Schedule deliveries of available stock items

  • Forward purchase orders to suppliers and verify shipments by comparing purchase order against packing slip

  • Forward payment receipt documentation to authorize purchase payments

  • Maintain accurate and easily accessible purchasing and vendor files

  • Obtain and distribute MSDS information to the communities and their on-site personnel, replacing and disposing all obsolete copies

  • Provide sound advice regarding scheduling deliveries, inventory planning and other control information based on your own collection, summarization and analysis of data and trends

  • Perform other job related duties as needed



Position Requirements:


 


  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a purchasing management capacity
  • Knowledge of product lines used in the apartment/property management industry is a plus!
  • High School diploma or equivalent (Associates Degree preferred)
  • Excellent organizational, communication (verbal and written) and time management skills a MUST!
  • Ability to multi-task and take direction from multiple sources.
  • Rapport building, superior customer service and problem solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Some light lifting may be expected
