We’re currently looking for a Technical Accounting Analyst II to join our team in Franklin, TN.

Job Summary:

Nissan is looking for a dynamic Consolidations and Technical Accounting Analyst II.  This position works to ensure financial statement integrity and acts as an organizational business partner.

Job functions Include but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to monthly close process, including reporting and disclosure packages, for multiple companies.
  • Preparation of annual and quarterly consolidated financial statement reporting.
  • Experience consolidating entities with multiple currencies. Familiarity with differences between GAAP and IFRS. Creation of supporting schedules with verifiable backup data. Precision reviewing financial statement data against footnote disclosures. Strong experience creating and verifying footnote data
  • Excellent at creating robust documentation and reconciling data. Participate in special projects. Propose and clearly articulate accounting significance of business decisions.
  • Technical accounting whitepaper preparation experience - including citing accounting literature
  • Researcher who can review/research pronouncements/guidance from the FASB, IFRS Foundation, SEC, Big 4, and authoritative sources to assist in determining accounting positions.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Firm understanding of financial concepts related to financial statements, and basic accounting principles. Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills.
  • 3-5 years of directly related professional level experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. MBA, MA or CPA preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to produce non-standard, creative products.
