BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER



A well-respected professional services provider in the PEO space is currently searching for a Business Development Manager. Located in Punta Gorda, Florida, this position will be responsible to actively seek out and engage prospective customers, driving the sales of a suite of professional services to small and medium-sized businesses throughout the central and southern Gulf Coast of Florida. The Business Development Manager will create territory growth through utilization of an experienced skill set in selling Human Resources outsourced services B2B through the Professional Employer Organization (PEO) model. Additionally, the occupant of this position will provide complete and appropriate solutions to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability. This is a great growth opportunity for candidates that have a documented history of success in territory sales.

The successful candidate will have the following skills, understandings and accomplishments in their tool belt: 


·         The ability to generate a list of leads of potential clients  

·         The ability to reach out to this list through cold-calling

·         An ability to understand and present company programs to prospective clients

·         Establish and maintain positive customer relationships to ensure continued business

·         Understanding of client needs, presenting products and services that speak to those needs

·         Utilization of a consultative approach when presenting services

·         Ability to give sales presentations to a wide range of prospective clients tailored to audience needs

·         The ability to negotiate contracts with prospective clients  

·         Ensure that prospective clients are “thinking smart” about business solutions  

·         The ability to perform cost-benefit analysis with clients to ensure service and solution  

·         The ability to ensure top-shelf customer service and customer problem resolution

·         A demonstrated history of achieving agreed upon sales targets and outcomes

·         The ability to analyze client territory potential  


The ideal candidate will have the following:


·         Understand Human Resources outsourced services and a knowledge of you to present those services

·         A proven work experience demonstrating success as a Sales Representative

·         A proven background of bringing intangible solutions to business customers

·         A proven strength in selling, communicating, and negotiating

·         Prioritizing, time management, relationship management and organizational skills

·         A commitment to excellent customer service

·         The ability to work in a fast-paced environment

·         Familiarity with CRM practices

·         A proficiency in Microsoft Office products  

·         A BS or BA degree


The “Perfect Candidate” will be an experience Commission Sales Representative with a proven ability to sell intangible solution-oriented services to a wide range of businesses in the southern Gulf Coast market. The ideal candidate will have excellent relationship-building skills, will be a listener and will be able to design solutions customized to a specific customer need.  The successful candidate will be a hustler and a doer, capable of building a business in a new territory. Those candidates with experience selling PEO are most ideal.
