Accounts Payable Specialist

DMK Development Group is a leading developer and general contractor of some of the nation’s most progressive and luxurious Senior Living Communities.  We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to grow with our Accounting team in our East End corporate office.


Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 


As the Accounts Payable Specialist you will have typical duties and responsibilities as are normally associated with such position.  You will work closely with the Accounting Manager, Project Administrators, and Senior Project Managers to ensure timely and accurate accounting of all project costs.  Specific duties include:

  •         Review and code progress applications, invoices, change orders, and back charges in accordance with project budgets to be routed for SPM approval
  •         Research and reconcile invoices that are inconsistent to budget
  •         Match and enter invoices, change orders, and back charges to contracts and POs after review
  •         Data entry / setup of vendors, contracts, and POs
  •         Manage and maintain vendor compliance docs (insurance and waivers)
  •         Research and resolve vendor issues
  •         Basic AP administration and reporting
  •         Assist with investigative and creative project reporting and audit


The Accounts Payable Specialist is the custodian of vendor expense and contract data, and manager of their administrative compliance.  Providing a high degree of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail is essential to this role

CONSTRUCTION ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

Accounts Payable experience is required for this position.  The ideal candidate will be energetic, creative, and organized with thorough attention to detail.  Intermediate MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills are required.
