Law firm located in Orland Park has an immediate opening for a full time, permanent paralegal. We are looking for qualified candidates with at least 2-3 years of current experience. Ideal applicants will have a background in litigation, firm specializes in corporate, collections and evictions litigation. Daily job duties will include;
Maintain attorney’s calendars
Scheduling hearings, depositions, meditations, and inspections
Coordinating with judges, opposing counsel, clients, mediators, vendors, and other legal positions ensuring billing requirements are met
Drafting correspondences to adjusters, clients, mediators, opposing counsel, and judges
Drafting motions and notices/ ensuring subpoenas are served, redacting and putting together documents for discovery purposes
Ensuring deadlines are met
Calendaring deadlines, hearings, depositions, and meditations
Opening and closing of a file;
