Job Description

BUSINESS OFFICE DIRECTOR – Groton, CT

Solstice Senior Living at Groton is currently in need of assistance in our Business Office, managing both the community accounting, and Human Resources functions. The right candidate MUST have a heart for seniors, patience with all personality types and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a calm and professional manner.

Specific responsibilities include:

•Maintain records and communicate information regarding all aspects of Resident billing

•Process payroll per established accounting procedures

•Maintain employee personnel files, and personnel reports utilizing ADP

•Organize and maintain resident, personnel, marketing, and resource files

•Prepare spreadsheets, correspondence and other forms / documents needed for daily operations

•Respond to Residents requests and assist in the coordination of services to residents, families and guests

Job Requirements

The right candidate will possess:

•High School Diploma with minimum 3 years experience in performing accounting, payroll, human resources and administrative functions.

•Prior Assisted Living or Long Term Health Care Financial experience preferred.

 Effective communication skills and computer experience including email, and Microsoft Office

•Experience with operating and maintaining office equipment including: fax machine, calculator, photocopier, telephones, computer, and printer

•Proficiency in keyboard and data entry skills and ability to use ten-key calculator

•Exceptional ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task in an extremely dynamic environment.

•Effective problem-solving skills and strong desire to help those who have questions and problems.

•Must be able to demonstrate patience, compassion and empathy towards employees, seniors and families
