The Account Payable Associate is responsible for the accurate and timely payment of invoices from

approved suppliers, in a manner consistent with approved quality standards and performance requirements. The Account Payable Specialist may also be required to support the development of the AP functions to advance department or organizational goals, objectives, and interests. Finally, the Account Payable Specialist is also responsible for the day-to-day resolution of invoice issues.

The position will work with Plant and Administrative Personnel, Corporate Procurement, Corporate Finance, and external Suppliers.

Account Payable Specialist Responsibilities:

· Incorporate AP / Finance principles into daily work activities

· Complete assigned items in accordance with approved AP / Finance programs utilizing the established policies and SOX controls

· Process variable volume of invoices for payment

· Validate invoices with purchase orders

· Ensure payments are processed on time and accurately to suppliers

· Research and resolve any invoice discrepancies in an effective and timely manner

· Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions

· Provide accurate records management relative to the AP function in accordance with policies

· Assist with additional projects at manager's direction

· Assist plant procurement and plant stakeholders with invoice related issues

Account Payable Specialist Qualifications:

· Associates degree preferred, or equivalent related experience or training

· Experience in Finance, Accounts Payable, or similar functions

· Experience working in a supply chain or manufacturing industry a plus.

· Ability to leverage software such as Microsoft Office, SAP, or a comparable ERP tool.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities · Ability to influence peers and leaders

· Ability to work independently and as a team player, be organized, and plan ahead

· Ability to follow departmental vision

· Problem solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills

· Verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to learn quickly

· Ability to work in an office setting

· Travel required is 0 to 5%, very minimal.

  • Account payable invoices for accuracy
  • Maintain all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and accounts payable files
  • Reconcile monthly the accounts payable general ledger accounts to outstanding accounts
  • Input approved invoices and produce accounts payable checks
  • Maintain all accounts payable files
  • Manage the accounts payable process
  • Prepare accounts payable checks and reports
  • Maintain verified accounts payable records
  • Maintain all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and corporate accounts payable files
  • Approving vendor invoices for payment
  • Generate accounts payable and refund checks
  • Perform various accounts payable in order to analyze all accounts payable invoices for validity and accuracy
  • Perform full-cycle accounts payable duties
  • Provide timely and accurate payment processing by processing accounts payable checks
  • Maintain accurate accounts payable records in SAP
  • Ensure that all accounts payable data
  • Maintain accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and corporate accounts payable files
  • Reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
  • Maintain all accounts payable records and vendor files
  • Manage maintenance of accounts payable records
