
One of our favorite clients is looking for a payroll assistant temp to hire.
The right candidate must have experience working with payroll or financial software and systems
Strong knowledge of Excel and database software. Proficient with ten key by touch, advanced keyboard skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
Performs payroll duties required to process an hourly and salaried weekly payroll, including: reconciliation of data to support records, input of payroll information and changes, preparing manual checks when necessary, payroll distribution and maintaining attendance records.
Prepares required payroll reports. Contact various department supervisors for any missing time records
Communicates with supervisors and employees to resolve payroll questions.
Assist in audits of payroll tax accounts, if needed.
Performs miscellaneous administrative duties as required.
Qualifications
Good organizational skills, and ability to pay close attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
Education and Experience
Minimum of 2 years of payroll or other accounting experience with a company of at least 200 employees.
Experience working with payroll or financial software and systems required.
Strong knowledge of Excel and database software. Proficient with ten key by touch, advanced keyboard skills.
