We are seeking a Family Investment Office Staff Accountant to join our growing team. We are a prominent family Investment office dedicated to managing the financial affairs of high-net-worth individuals and their families. With a focus on providing comprehensive financial services, we strive to maintain the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in all aspects of our operations.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant will play a critical role in supporting the financial management and reporting functions of the family investment office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial analysis, and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, monthly reports, and budget variances to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
  • Maintaining documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate year-end audits and tax filings.
  • Ad hoc reporting on family requests, handle special requests
  • Perform regular reconciliations of investment portfolios, ensuring accuracy and compliance with investment policies.
  • Maintain documentation of financial transactions, policies, and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor cash flow and liquidity positions, and provide recommendations for optimizing cash management strategies.
  • Collaborate with other team members to support special projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Primary point of contact for Family Office
  • Stay updated on relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within a family office, public accounting firm, or financial services industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, Bill.com, or similar platforms) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and prepare accurate reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
