Functional Business Analyst

Software Resources has an immediate, long term contract job opportunity for a Functional Business Analyst with a major corporation in Orlando, FL. On-site Monday - Thurs, Remote Fridays.

This position leans more towards a functional analyst vs business analyst. Will be moving whole intranet site for policies over from SharePoint to SNOW.

More technical as skills needed are:
- Experience with complex programs
- Will be leading UAT sessions
- Story writing- must have
- SharePoint & Snow/ experience- Moving from SharePoint to Snow
- Documentation of content flow
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written-

Description :
The Functional Analyst is a key representative of the Corporate Technology team, responsible for providing support and driving continuous improvement in the solution. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including stakeholder engagement; requirement refinement; collaboration with project participants in a variety of roles including engineers, developers, functional testers, project managers, product owners & managers, and customer stakeholders.

The Functional Analyst is an integral, strategic partner that can navigate complex, variable business conditions, guide business customers from requirements gathering through product release, & balance requirements with ServiceNow best practices. This role requires a self-motivated candidate that can manage their work independently and use critical and analytical thinking to help ensure successful product delivery.

Basic Qualifications:
Responsibilities:
• Serve as technology and process functional expert for SharePoint and ServiceNow modules.
• Gather business requirements for implementation and enhancement of ServiceNow features, functionality, & products.
• Write clear & concise user stories with the appropriate level of detail and acceptance criteria.
• Work with customers to create and refine any necessary business process flows.
• Partner with project manager(s) to ensure adherence to project schedule.
• Interact with SharePoint user groups to understand and document the current process and requirements.
• Manage workload to prioritize and adhere to planned and communicated project delivery dates.
• Document and create current process flow based on business requirements.
• Perform gap analysis to determine the required ServiceNow system setup and configuration.
• Partner with team to facilitate creation of business requirements documents, system configuration documents, detailed functional design documents, test plans and test cases, user training documents, and implementation documentation as necessary.
• Work with the ServiceNow development, Solution Engineering, & product teams to create and refine stories from business requirements.
• Create clear, succinct, & testable acceptance criteria for quality assurance teams to create automated and manual test cases for each story.
• Collaborate with development & QA teams to facilitate and resolve issue resolution.
• Lead and coordinate the UAT process with business stakeholders and coordinate any needed changes.
• Partner with engineering team to assist with documenting reported issues from end-users post-release.
• Work with business customers, developers, and internal & vendor support teams to research, document, and resolve the reported issues.
• Review, analyze, and create the specifications for any enhancement requests.
• Test, verify, and approve the results of the implemented solutions and enhancements.
• Partner with project manager and engineering team to plan releases and ensure all necessary sign-off has been provided by necessary stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of SharePoint platform.
- Ability to write stories with detailed Acceptance Criteria based on customer requirements.
- Experience with ServiceNow for IT service management and business process automation.
- Familiarity with Agile principles and practices for project management.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities in a large team environment
- Ability to lead discussions with customers and technical teams to drive requirements gathering.
- Capability to analyze situations and make informed decisions.
- Experience with front-end user interface implementations.

Required Education:
BA/BS + 7 years
