Currently Oxford HealthCare is interviewing for a Licensed Vocational Nurse Floater position to work full-time throughout the Los Angeles metro area. Candidates for this position must be proficient with pediatric patients, g-tubes, tracheostomy tubes, and ventilators.
The position entails that the LVN will be responsible for acting as a fill-in nurse for open shifts and new case admissions. The LVN Floater would need to maintain a flexible schedule and readiness to work any five 8-hour shifts in a week (including possibly call-offs, weekends, etc). The position also requires openness to travel throughout Los Angeles metro area.
When filling in for a shift the LVN Floater is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include following the plan of care, providing treatments, performs focused interview to identify specific patient needs, assess signs and symptoms, and working collaboratively with the members of the team to help meet positive patient care outcomes.
