We are seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to join our team! You will work alongside fellow CNAs to provide high-quality patient care. CNA/ provides delineated personal care or nursing support to persons participating in the Nursing Center.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read, write and speak in a clear and professional manner.
Ability to complete basic/intermediate math computations.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to resolve customer service issues and/or escalate to supervisor as needed.
Proficient in beginning/intermediate computer skills.
A high degree of organization and strong attention to detail.
Accurate data entry, 10 key, and typing.
Ability to work well with the elderly population.
Requires lots of patience and a kind/caring attitude.
Ability to work as an effective member of the team.
Knowledge of HIPAA Guidelines including the Protected Health Information (PHI) privacy requirements.
Walking, standing, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
Talking and hearing are essential to effectively communicate with patients, clients, and staff.
Assisting with lifting and moving patients in wheelchairs.
Environmental Conditions Critical to Performance:
Exposure to medical setting. Low-risk contamination when adhering to Universal Precautions.
A minimum of 1-year experience working with physically or mentally impaired older persons strongly preferred.
Must hold current CNA certification in the state of practice
Must hold current BLS card from AHA
Prior work experience in a direct patient care setting or in a long term care facility
