REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

· CPA certification

· Expertise in GL Accounting operational cycles, including ownership of the closing process.

· Strong technical accounting knowledge, including GAAP

· Excellent communication and facilitation skills – capable of executing

· Proficient in use of accounting systems, implementation of corporate financial practices, and analysis of financial and operating information for management to facilitate decision-making

· Experience with developing, implementing, managing, and monitoring effective internal controls

DUTIES:

· Manage monthly financial close for all properties and identify and implement changes to reduce cycle time

· Assist and provide information to external auditors

· Develop and retain financial staff

· Facilitate and drive process standardization, optimization, and consistent reporting and analysis of shared services activities for the properties

· Manage process of timely and accurate financial reporting, including reconciliations and financial analysis

· Implement strategically relevant Shared Service Center processes that have a direct impact on financial results

· Produce and analyze weekly/monthly KPIs, dashboards

· Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures

· Manage team performance through coaching, counseling, planning/monitoring, and appraising job results

· Make sure federal, state, and local legal compliance are accurate

· File financial reports; advising management on needed actions

  • Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations
  • Approve journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
  • Reviewing monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Prepare various monthly general ledger account reconciliations
  • Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Perform other general accounting functions
  • Approve journal entries and general ledger account reconciliation
  • Prepare month end journal entries and various balance sheet reconciliations
  • Approve month end balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supervise the general ledger accounting staff and functions
  • Supervise the accounts receivable and accounting staff
  • Perform various accounting general ledger duties and analysis
  • Approve monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to general ledger
  • Review and posting of accounting staff journal entries
  • Maintain balance sheet account analysis and prepare monthly journal entries
  • Applying cash receipts, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
  • Applying cashreceipts, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
  • Prepare monthly general closing entries
  • Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for advanced accounts
  • Supervise the accounting staff (accountants)
