OB/GYN office looking for full time Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to join their team in Forest Hills, Queens.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Greet patient and prepare them for physician examination per established office protocol
- Keep information in the patient's chart current per established requirements
- Provide oversight to vaccine program following State guidelines
- Checks and restocks rooms with necessary supplies and ensures exam rooms are prepared for the day.
- Performs a variety of patient care functions based on age-specific needs using age appropriate communication techniques
Patient care functions include but is not limited, to the following: physical examination preparation, personal history/medications/allergies recording in the EMR, vital signs, phlebotomy, heights, weights, finger sticks, electrocardiograms, head circumference measurements, vision and hearing screening
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with at least one year of recent experience as a medical assistant
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
