Job Responsibilities of Business Development Manager


As a Business Development Manager , you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the business development process


Specific duties in this Business Development Manager role include:

  • This position is the key role responsible for overseeing all matters pertaining to New Business Development from new business opportunity to proposal/pricing development to award.   
  • Review and direct proposal progress ensuring adherence to the capture process and proposal schedule. Conduct a competition analysis to assess  pricing strategies.  Experience working in international development with a USAID supported organization is preferred. Strong attention to detail as well as having excellent written and verbal skills are necessary. 


We are looking for an Business Development Manager who combines a solid background in business development and strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. You should be detail-oriented and have sound judgment and strong reasoning skills, as well as good analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.


Specific requirements for the Business Development Manager include:

This client is looking for a candidate who has a 4 year business degree which is required preferably with a graduate degree and 8-12 years of “Capture Manager” experience responsible for overseeing bid strategies, pricing and proposal strategies.
