SUMMARY:
We are looking for that unique individual who understands how lean manufacturing principles are effectively used in an SAP/ERP manufacturing, logistics, and distribution environment.  You will be a member of the leadership team with responsibilities for the transportation and importing of materials & finished products from Domestic and International sources.
Principle Activities:  
  1. Development of Supply Chain systems; Logistics and supply chain strategy development; 
     & Coordination of global capacity.
    *  Warehousing & Inbound and outbound transportation 
  2. Consumer products distribution
    * Management of logistics assets.
    * Minimize logistics overhead and working capital use.
    * Planning and budgeting for supply chain and logistics..     
  3. Supply and Demand Planning
    1. Procurement of Finished Goods Design and lead the implementation of a logistics strategy which meets customer requirements while optimizing total cost and asset utilization.
  4. Develop and oversee transportation procurement strategies which include third party selection and evaluation.
  5. Develop and oversee warehouse management strategies which include optimization of warehousing footprint
  6. Facilitate optimization of manufacturing footprint to meet cost and asset utilization goals
  7. Facilitate optimization of outbound Freight management.
  8. Design and lead continuous cost reduction and value improvement activity.
  9. Perform administrative management duties such as performance management, pay planning, succession and resource planning and budget
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  1. Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field
    ---Masters is considered an asset
    ---APICS CPIM certification is preferred
    ---Proven knowledge and experience with routing inbound and outbound shipments for both domestic and international freight is preferred.
    ---Must have MRP and SAP
    ---Experience in and application of LEAN Manufacturing principles.
  2. Must possess a strong knowledge and practice of Logistics processes and tools.
  3. Expert in optimizing global logistics by determining transportation routes, warehouse and manufacturing locations as well as inventory levels
  4. Expert knowledge of applicable US and foreign governmental regulations.
  5. Skilled in organizational and employee development.
  6. Excels at interpersonal communication, negotiation, supplier management relations and conflict resolution
  7. Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
  8. Business analysis skills, with the ability to see implications and provide consultative solutions and recommendations
  9. Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage projects
  10. Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities
  11. Ability to quickly identify the information needed to evaluate new business situations and to collect and organize appropriate quantitative and qualitative information
  12. Distribution / supply chain experience required.
  13. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
  14. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  15. Ability to present information to senior leaders
  16. Ability to lead others
  17. Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
