Production Assembler

Moog Music assembles the finest quality musical instruments in the world.  The Production Assembler works independently or in conjunction with teams on a production line manufacturing product.  Performs a wide variety of product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies. Follows standard operating procedures in the production / assembly process according to design specifications and company quality standards.  The Assembler must be able to follow written/verbal instructions and work in a DFT production environment.  He/she must be able to stand/sit for extended periods of time and lift up to 30 lbs. 

 

The position will consist of one or more of the following activities:

  • Visual inspection of parts for cosmetic / mechanical / electrical quality 
  • Works safely and ensures best quality products within current takt times
  • Using a wide range of hand tools and/or light industrial tools (drivers, drills, etc…)
  • Soldering electrical wires or components
  • Moving materials from one location to another
  • Programming circuit boards using a computer or programming device
  • Testing instruments for proper functionality and sound
  • Fully engages with team and other associates to troubleshoot problems and drive continuous improvement 
  • Final visual inspection and functional testing of instruments prior to packing
  • Final packing (boxing) of instruments
  • Documenting work activities, serial numbers, Kanban inventory usage, etc… 
  • Performs other duties, provides support and coverage on all operations on line as requested by supervisor
  • Cross training and flexibility required

·      High School Graduate or equivalent.   

·      Prior assembly/manufacturing experience preferred.

·      Strong attention to detail (inspections, documentation, etc..).

·      Good verbal and written communication skills.

·      Must be an open minded, team player who is flexible in daily duties.

·      Familiarity with Kanban inventory system a plus

·      Ability to lift 30 lbs.
