Location: Golden, Colorado


  •          Oversees all claims and investigations;
  •         Oversees and trains supervisors and lead technicians with thorough damage investigations and reports;
  •          Reviews required equipment to ensure performance for jobsite;
  •          Conducts weekly vehicles inspections and audits for all DI/QA personnel;
  •          Maintains quality standards and customer satisfaction;
  •          Uses independent judgement within the framework of existing policies and objectives in decisions that influence all claims, quality and their respective documentation;
  •          Keeps Contract Manager informed daily of the status of all claims and quality related issues and events;
  •          Maintains accurate records for all near-miss and unaccrued damages for which liability could be assessed;
  •          Oversees the collection of data reports and job quality
  •          Performs follow-up field investigations for claims relating to at-fault damages and questionable fault damages;
  •          Reviews client audits to ensure completed and turned in as required;
  •          Maintains proper training records in compliance with company as ISO9001 standards;
  •          Schedules and conducts claims/quality meetings with supervisors on a regular basis;
  •          Communicates effectively to all field personnel regarding performance;
  •          Develops alternative solutions to claims and quality related issues;
  •          Performs field training for all employees relating to damages and quality of work issues;
  •          Performs random field audits;
  •          Maintaining a qualified staff (5-6 employees) while instilling a culture of accountability for safety, quality, productivity, overtime and performance;
  •          Enforce company policy and procedures;
  •          Performs other duties as directed by the Executive VP or Contract Manager;
  •          50% of work will be conducted in office, 50% will be out in the field


  •         Knowledge in all phases of utility locating procedures
  •          Logistics/scheduling experience
  •          Experience with various locating equipment, procedure and blueprint reading
  •          Knowledge of state dig law
  •          Valid DL, no DUIs/no violations in the last 5 years
  •          5 yrs. of experience with utility locating with 2 years in a supervising position
  •          High school diploma and some college preferably a minimum of an Associate’s degree in a business-related field
  •          2 yrs. as a manager, preferred
  •          Strong computer skills-will be using email, digital images and maps stored and retrieved on laptop
  •          Strong communication skills-verbal and electronic
  •          Clean Background (7 years from conviction/no violent crimes
  •          Drug-free
  •          Conflict resolution skills
  •          Work independently while being able to prioritize tasks and assignments
  •          Willing to work extended hours and work outside of normal work area
  •          Associates degree from accredited college with a major coursework in a business-related field
  • Hours are 9am-5pm, M-F but must be available evenings to complete daily work (must be able to work outside of these hours & be on-call on the weekend in a rotating schedule with other managers)
