Quality Supervisor

100 + year old manufacturer of disposable paper products is seeking a Quality Supervisor to join our growing team.  We are in a beautiful business park in the Waukegan/North Chicago area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Quality Supervisor reports directly to the Plant Manager.

  • The Quality Supervisor will supervise, train, and instruct Quality Inspectors.

  • Inspect and test incoming paper, cartons, and other materials.

  • Inspect and test for plant finished products output.

  • Ensure the manufacturing processes comply with standards.

  • Work with staff to establish and maintain procedures, standards, and systems.

  • Responsible for annual 3rd party audits to ensure company keeps a top rated score.

  • Conduct annual CGMP meetings with all employees.

  • Act as a catalyst for improvement.

  • Record, analyze, and distribute statistical information.

  • Interact with other departments on quality issues.

  • Address customer complaints and correction actions.

  • Monitor production employees to ensure they are following CGMP standards.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Technical background in specifications and process improvement of quality programs.

  • Good experience with 3rd party audits in manufacturing.

  • Mathematical proficiency.

  • Interpersonal and critical thinking skills.

  • Bi-Lingual preferred to conduct employee meetings.

  • Word, Excel, and Outlook experience.

  • Good work history required.
