The Process Engineer, reporting to the Manager, Process Engineering will lead focused, proactive problem-solving efforts to improve plant manufacturing processes and will participate in the formulation, evaluation, and presentation of product, process and manufacturing alternatives.


  • Utilize engineering principles and creativity, participate and support portions of pre-defined Engineering projects.

  • Provide technical analyses.

  • Make appropriate recommendations and participate in the design and implementation.  Drive solution to completion.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex process issues.

  • Diagnose technical problems, and identify short and long-term solutions

  • Develop and implement methods to systematically evaluate and analyze manufacturing processes/equipment issues and data from failures and create and implement recommendations to prevent recurrence. 

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve problems, optimize output/quality and reduce costs.

  • Define alternative solutions and design criteria, both individually and collaboratively, by which to evaluate the alternatives.

  • Develop tactical plans and prioritize to achieve project goals; drive solutions to completion.

  • Keep detailed records of process improvements and equipment changes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering. 

  • Minimum experience – completed internship in the manufacturing field.

  • 1-year of work experience preferred.

  • General familiarity with engineering drawing and Bill of Materials (BOM)

  • Demonstrated understanding of technology including complexities of products, machinery and costs.

  • Familiarity with Product Change Management processes.

  • Prior utilization of problem solving and process optimization skills, including statistics and root cause analysis. 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks and adjust priorities as necessary.

  • Exposure to process design/process facilitation

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to establish and sustain effective relationships with all stakeholders to foster an environment where innovation and cooperation are used to solve problems.

  • Ability to lead by involving others in decision processes

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications

     Desired Skills

  • Understanding of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles

  • Food manufacturing experience
