Job Description – Inside Sales Representative

Company

Powerex has been a part of the Berkshire Hathaway family of companies for more than 30 years.  Due to significant growth in recent years, we are seeking additional talented and energetic individuals to join our team.  These new High-Potential Leaders will be critical to guiding Powerex’ future growth.  Powerex manufactures industry-leading Medical Gas Equipment for many critical applications within Hospitals and University Laboratories in addition to designing and assembling Compressed Air and Vacuum solutions for use in a variety of Industrial applications including buses, light rail, and food & beverage processing.

Position

The Inside Sales Representative will first complete a 6-month, Cross-functional Training Program, where they will rotate through several roles within various functions of Powerex.  After completing this extensive training program, they will work as an Inside Sales Representative in our Mt. Juliet, Tennessee business, just outside of Nashville.

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for working with the Sales Management Team and an established distributor network to expand Powerex’ market share in the medical, laboratory and industrial markets. The successful Inside Sales Representative works closely with sales managers, distribution partners, end users, and the National Sales Managers to execute sales and marketing strategies based on customer needs, competition and market potential.

Mt. Juliet, Tennessee (Nashville area)

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

The Inside Sales Representative reports to the Inside Sales Supervisor and will be responsible for:

·         Generating Quotes

o   Receive requests for quotes from Outside Sales and customers and maintain Quote Log

o   Coordinate assistance from Outside Sales and/or Engineering where needed to complete the quoting process.

o   Complete Quote and send directly to the customer or outside sales manager.

·         Determining Pricing for Quoted Systems

o   Generate pricing for quotes through the approved process

o   Verify the pricing of orders received match the associated quote.

o   Perform other Pricing activities per the controller

·         Generating Submittals (product specification/documentation)

o   Receive requests for submittals from Outside Sales and maintain Submittal Log

o   Complete Submittal and send directly to the customer or outside sales manager.

·         Provide primary support to Outside Sales Reps when they are out of the office for work travel and vacation.

·         Respond to requests and questions from customers and distributors as appropriate.

Education & Experience

  • A BS/BA undergraduate degree is required
  • Engineering degree or Technical aptitude is preferred
  • 1-5 years of Inside Sales experience is preferred
  • Experience with hospitals, laboratories, and/or industrial customers is preferred
  • Experience with compressed air or vacuum systems is preferred
  • Experience supporting and/or working with distributors serving medical (hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, ambulatory centers, and medical office buildings), laboratory, or industrial clients is preferred.

Compensation

·         Full-time role with Salary, Bonus, Commission, and Benefits Package.

ENGINEERING
