The Manager of Patient Care Services at AACH will report directly to the Director of Nursing and provide leadership over three vital areas: Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Emergency Department (ED) and House Supervisors.

  • Our ICU is a 4-bed department where patients receive round the clock care by a hospitalist and/or surgeon or tele-intensivist.

  • Our ED has an average daily census of 25-30 patients.

  • The House Supervisors oversee hospital operations along with an extension of administration after hours.

Who You Are

  • An experienced RN with progressive leadership experience

  • You have a wealth of experimental nursing knowledge

  • You advocate for continuous improvement and believe in excellence in healthcare

  • You have experience in budget planning, establishing quality metrics, coordinating resources, systems improvement and compliance

What You’ll Do

  • You will provide collaborative leadership for the process of planning, direction and coordinating initiatives to achieve both system wide and departmental objectives while maintaining performance with established and well-known quality metrics

  • You will be responsible for supporting and leading staff practices that mitigate preventable patient harm, staff engagement and accountability

  • You will work towards continuously improving performance of established quality metrics, budget planning, monitoring and coordinating resources along with systems improvement and compliance

  • Create a culture that fosters staff self-development and continued learning

What You Must Have


  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field or within 6 months of completion is required


  • Three or more years progressive leadership / supervisory nursing experience required

  • Previous management experience preferred

  • Experience in one of the specialty units, ICU, ED, or House Supervisor required


  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) required upon start

  • Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start
