Description 


The Arc, Ocean County Chapter, a local non-profit supporting individuals with disabilities is seeking a Part Time IT Network Technician to support our administrative team and our various remote locations. This position is a 20-25 hrs per week position.

Basic job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain and upgrade network hardware and software
  • Maintain and upgrade existing firewalls
  • Maintain and upgrade PCs and network hardware and software applications
  • Troubleshoot day to day issues at various remote locations
  • Create and monitor system IDs, permissions and various accounts
  • Assist in routine maintenance, assembling, installing, testing and supporting PC hardware, software, printers, mobile devices and related technology
  • Work with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems
  • Troubleshoot/administration of email accounts
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware, network, software, and printing problems

Requirements


Basic job requirements of this position are:


  • A minimum of 1 year experience working in a domain environment
  • A minimum of 1 year working in a professional, office setting
  • CompTIA A+ and/or CompTIA Network+ certification
  • Solid understanding of network hardware and software, installation and troubleshooting
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-orientated, collaborative environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills, including patience and understanding others
  • Valid NJ Driver’s License with no more than 5 points
  • A minimum of a H.S. Diploma/G.E.D.

  • Troubleshoot equipment hardware and software problems
  • Perform software and hardware inventory
  • Providing desk side computer hardware and software support
  • Provide hardware / software technical support
  • Extend computer support for systems' software and hardware
  • Resolve moderately complex end-user hardware/software problems including remote access software
  • Provide end-user support for software and hardware issues
  • Install software or perform hardware testing at the users desk site
  • Maintain, and repair computer related hardware
  • Troubleshooting computer hardware and software as a customer service representative
  • Assist or train on the software/hardware
  • Coordinate repairs on technology hardware
  • Research and resolve technical problems for both hardware and software issues
  • Analyze, identify and resolve business and or technical problems
  • Provide recommendations of program changes to correct software problems
  • Assist in preparation and conducting of physical inventories
  • Maintain specific quality records to ensure standards
  • Resolve PC hardware/software, printers, and network related problems
  • Provide some desk side technical support for hardware and software
  • Manage the deployment and support of field network systems
