Our client, based out of the San Francisco, specializes in compressed N2O and CO2 gas systems, along with quality cream dispensers, torches, soda siphons, and stoves. Their products are sold through an extensive global network of distributors in the United States and over 20 countries.

Electrical / Mechanical Maintenance Mechanic
This role will be responsible for assisting with the installation and startup of new manufacturing equipment, helping to train staff on the safe operation of equipment, and working to promote an overall healthy and safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the installation and startup of new manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform and document routine preventative maintenance and equipment repairs.
  • Assist in training machine operators and production staff on safe operation of equipment.
  • Support manufacturing by solving equipment-related manufacturing problems.
  • Effectively and efficiently troubleshoot equipment to reduce productivity losses.
  • Support and comply with safety and security policies to promote a healthy and safe working environment.


Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • 3-5 years of maintenance experience required.
  • Must have strong mechanical aptitude and be a skilled craftsman who takes pride in his work.
  • Good organizational skills and capable of multitasking while balancing priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently with little to no direct supervision.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Electrical knowledge to work safely and efficiently with 3 phase electrical, motor controls.
  • Experience with AC/DC drives and up to 480v.
  • Experience working with Allen Bradley PLC controls.  
  • Experienced at troubleshooting pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Comfortable with troubleshooting and or repairing mechanical systems, including gearboxes, drive lines, mechanical variable speed systems, bearing and seal replacements, and fitting and adjustment of moving parts.  
  • Proficient at basic facility maintenance and repairs.  
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Experience working with any liquid/pressurized gas a plus. 
  • Welding and fabrication skills a plus.
  • Fanuc Robot experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of OSHA/HAZMAT regulations a plus.  
  • Familiarity with the following types of equipment:
    • Bowl Feeders
    • Parts washer
    • Conveyors
    • Assembly robotics
    • Checkweigher
    • Ink Coders
    • Boiler
    • Compressor
    • Hydraulic skids
    • Box Erector
    • Robotic Parts loaders
    • Palletizers
    • Forklifts
