Warehouse Supervisor

Position Description:

The Supervisor is accountable for delivering goods on time, at cost targets, and within stated limits for product quality. It is expected that the supervisor will continually develop the capabilities of their team to achieve these goals.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Reviews production schedules and coordinates appropriate staffing to receive, store and ship Finished Goods
  • Oversees shipment of all finished good units and service orders from Warehouse
  • Ensures appropriate carriers are selected for daily shipments and coordinates dedicated shipments
  • Reviews freight charges and fees and compares to invoices to ensure accurate charges for freight
  • Oversees Cycle Counting program for all RB items and reports findings weekly to Materials Manager
  • Responsible for all aspects of their direct reports� day to day activities: safety, morale, position and career development, discipline, schedule, time sheets, attendance, etc�
  • Owns the safety culture of the department, including but not limited to: executing safety initiatives, ensuring proper usage of PPE, addressing safety concerns and suggestions, conducting monthly safety inspections, participating in Behavior Based Safety (BBS) Observations, and completing accident investigation reports (when needed).
  • Leads the continuous improvement efforts of their value stream using MPS / MOS methodology.
  • Reports daily on key performance indicators for the department (safety, quality, cost, and delivery), identifying action plans as required to ensure objectives are met.
  • Uses ERP system (SAP) to maintain accurate inventory for all materials used in the department.
  • Responsible for effective communication to all levels of the plant from direct reports to the Materials Manager
  • Orders small tools, protective clothing, equipment and other items necessary for production and safety.
  • Holds weekly toolbox departmental meetings.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly department using 5S process.
  • Completes other standard work items as required.



High School diploma or GED is required.  Bachelora degree is preferred.  Prior supervisory experience or training preferred.  Must have thorough knowledge of manufacturing process/procedures and supervisory techniques.  Computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word required.  SAP experience preferred.
